Transferring properties from Meridian Project Portal to Office files

Properties are transferred from Meridian Project Portal to Office files whenever the file is opened for viewing or checked out. The file property values will be updated from the Meridian Project Portal properties that have the codes listed in Meridian Project Portal property codes.

Properties are not transferred during the following operations:

• Clipboard export and extract
• Document list export
• Export
• External reference operations (subget and subcheckout)

Note    Meridian Project Portal does not update the properties of original files stored in a workspace. The properties are always transferred to a copy of the original before it is downloaded by the user. To ensure that the properties of the original files are correct in Meridian Project Portal, you must explicitly save the file with the correct property values to Meridian Project Portal.
